  • B.A. in Early Childhood, Special Education Early Childhood, Elementary Education K-8, and Special Education Modified and Comprehensive K-12 from Tusculum College in 1999.
  • M.S. in Special Education from Western Governors University, 2011
  • Started teaching in 1999 and have been at Rockford since 2002
    Taught Preschool Special Education for 3 years on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation in Whiteriver, AZ. After that I came to Rockford and have taught both regular and Special Education Preschool students. I love being a part of the Rockford Family.
  • I believe all children can learn and should be given the opportunity and guidance to grow and learn at every possible moment.

  • B.A. in English from The University of the South, Sewanee, TN, 1991
  • M.A. in Special Education Modified and Comprehensive K-!2 with Preschool Endorsement from University of Georgia, 2000
  • Started teaching Preschool Special Education in 2000 in Athens, Georgia
    Moved to Maryville in 2002 and taught in a Preschool Inclusion Program in Loudon County
    Began teaching in Blount County in 2006 at Carpenters Elementary where I taught a Developmental Preschool Classroom for 13 years followed by 2 years in a K-5 Comprehensive Developmental Classroom
  • I’ve found my new home at Rockford this year (2021) co-teaching in the Pre-K Inclusion Program
  • I’m married to Michael and have a daughter Marya who is attending UTK.
  • I love spending time with family, gardening, reading, and I am thrilled to be teaching little Tigers at Rockford Elementary!
