Chad Tipton - Principal
My name is Chad Tipton. This is my twentieth year with the Blount County School System and thirteenth at Rockford Elementary. I taught 4th and 5th grade at both Walland and Rockford before leaving in 2016 to become the assistant principal at Eagleton Elementary. A year later I was fortunate enough to have my path lead back to Rockford, now as the principal.
I have an Educational Specialists degree in Educational Leadership, a Master's of Education degree in Educational Leadership, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development.
I love to take cruises, visit theme parks, and just take off on a day trip with no destination in mind. I also love to spend time with my family. It's pretty awesome to get up every morning and come to work at Rockford. Not everyone gets to say that they have the greatest job in the world, serving the best students, best teachers, and best staff. I get to say that on a daily basis.
