HOW MANY BOOKS? FOR HOW LONG?
Students in 3rd - 5th grade may borrow the number of books 2 books. Students in kindergarten -2nd grade may borrow 1 book. Kindergarten students borrow books when they visit with their class, but the books are kept in the classroom, not taken home. Library materials are due back every week for our Kindergarten - 2nd graders and every other week for 3th - 5th graders. All students may renew any library item twice if there are no hold requests.
COMMUNICATION
Parents will receive a courtesy SeeSaw message on the afternoon before your student's library day. If a student has library items that are at least 3 weeks over due you will receive a SeeSaw message. While there is no fine for overdue books, materials overdue by 30 days or more are assumed to be lost and a replacement fee will be assessed. Mrs. Walker will send home a lost book note home with students when a book is considered lost. If you feel our records are in error kindly email [email protected].
LOST A BOOK?
If a book is lost or damaged it must be paid for. Payment may be in the form of a check made out to Rockford Elementary School, or with exact cash (change cannot be made and will not be given). Send the payment to school marked Attention Library. Payment is refundable if a lost book is found and returned on or before the last day of the current school year. Students must pay for any lost or damaged books before attending Field Trips or field day.
